Screenshot sharing with FileRun

FileRun can be used to quickly share an image online, without the need of sophisticated screen capture and sharing programs.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Windows users: Hit Print Screen on your keyboard, or Alt + Print Screen if you wish to capture only the active window.
MacOS users: Hit Command + Control + Shift + 3 to capture the entire screen or Command-Shift-Control-4 to capture an area or a window.

This will take a screenshot and have the contents saved in the clipboard.

  2. You can now paste the image from the clipboard in various programs, FileRun included. With the browser window open, use the common pasting keyboard shortcut, Ctrl + V on Windows or ⌘ + V on MacOS.

The image will get uploaded as a PNG file inside the currently opened FileRun folder and you will be presented with a direct web link to that file. Your screenshot is now ready to be shared online.

P.S. Instead of taking screenshots, you can save pictures from the web, by right-clicking them in the browser, selecting "Copy image" and proceeding with the pasting procedure as described above.
